Christmas Care Program Now Accepting Applications

LREMC Christmas Care Program is now accepting applications and donations. Through Lumbee River EMC's Christmas Care program, employees, the Board of Directors, and friends of the cooperative are preparing to give back to over 200 families in the community this holiday season. The program allows Lumber River EMC to provide food baskets for families and toys for the children during the holiday season.

Concern for the community is one of the cooperative's seven core principles, and the Christmas Care Program is one of many ways Lumber River EMC demonstrates that concern. The Christmas Care program was founded in 1981 when employees committed their time and money to make a difference in members' lives.

"The employees of Lumbee River EMC always look forward to participating in this program," said Chasity Carter, president of the Lumber River EMC Employee's Association. " We appreciate all the donations given to support the program each year."

For consideration, members must submit their application no later than 5 PM, Friday, November 10, 2023. A committee will evaluate each application and review each request. Once the applications have been reviewed, 2023 recipients will be notified by letter in the mail.
