The Lumbee River Electric Membership Corporation Board of Directors recently announced the appointment of Randall Jones as the new CEO. He will assume his new responsibilities on January 2, 2009. Until then he will be working closely with Ronnie Hunt, the current CEO, who will be retiring at that time. “By naming Mr. Jones as the new CEO now, we are able to insure a smooth transition upon Mr. Hunt’s retirement in January,” says Roger Oxendine, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “We are happy to have found such a capable leader within our organization”. Randall Jones, a lifetime resident of Robeson County, has been an employee with the cooperative for 27 years, joining the cooperative in February 1981. Most recently he has been serving as the Manager of Key Accounts.
