There is nothing better for your heating and/or air conditioning system than annual maintenance. Annual maintenance allows your system to work efficient year round. A system that is maintained annually experiences considerably fewer breakdowns.This also eliminates the need to pay for costly repairs. You’ll enjoy the peace of mind in knowing that your system is saving you money on your electric bill every time it comes on.   

Rebate Process:

1. Select a Lumbee River EMC prequalified HVAC contractor. 
2. Contractor must complete heating & cooling tune-up.
3. Submit the following information:
   • Application with the member’s and contractor’s signatures.
   • Copies of the invoice showing the date of work completed.
4. The rebate will be processed within 3-5 weeks after the properly submitted application and information is received.

Rebate Guidelines:

1. Applicants must be the member of record for an active, non delinquent account.
2. Rebates available for residential single family and multi-family members.  Rebate is not available for new construction members.
3. Maintenance must be performed on centrally ducted heat pumps and  central air conditioning units to qualify for the rebate
4. Rebate is $30 per unit.  Maximum of two units per dwelling. 
5. Rebate will not exceed the cost of the tune-up rebate.
6. Application must be submitted within 60 days of service completion date.
7. Rebates will only be available for tune-ups performed on a premises served by Lumbee River EMC.
8. Maintenance must be performed by a Lumbee River EMC prequalified Heating & Cooling Contractor.
9. A completed Heating & Cooling Rebate Application is required.
10. Application must be signed and dated by both the member and HVAC contractor.
11. Member must submit a dated, detailed invoice as proof of service completion.
12. Failure to provide required information may result in denial of the rebate.
13. Rebates are awarded on a first-come, first serve basis until program funds have been depleted.
14. Lumbee River EMC reserves the right to amend or discontinue this program without notice.
15. Member shall not be eligible for the heating and cooling rebate for three years following the tune-up of the HVAC system specified on this application.
16. Rebates are only available for tune-ups performed on or after March 1, 2010
