PHONE NUMBER FOR PAYING YOUR ELECTRIC BILL

To make a payment over the phone, you will need to dial our toll free payment line which is specifically designated for payments.  The toll free telephone number is 844-827-4761.

The reason for a seperate payment line is to protect your data associated with your credit cards.  The Payment Card Industry (PCI) has developed a set of data security standards for all companies that are accepting credit / debit cards for payments.  As thieves and hackers become more sophisticated, the way we do business must keep up with advances in technology.  Adoption of these standards ensures our compliance in the prevention, detection and appropriate reaction to potential security incidents.  By moving to this more secure processing of payments through this separate phone number, you can be assured that LREMC is doing everything we possibly can to make sure your payment information is safe and secure.

FlexPay:

Would it be easier for you to make daily, weekly or biweekly payments rather than one large payment each month?  Think of FlexPay the same as you do putting gas in your car.  You pay for it before you use it.  You can purchase small amounts every few days or “fill up the tank” and not worry about it for several weeks.  When your supply is low you simply purchase more.

This program works best for people who want to take control of their electric account.  By monitoring your consumption on a regular basis, you will begin to notice patterns in your day-to-day usage.  Any variation from this pattern, will become evident as you monitor your account.  Monitoring and controlling daily usage can help keep your electric costs down.

Purchasing before you use it allows you to control your budget and pay how much you want, when you want.  Instead of a monthly billing statement, your usage and balance are calculated daily.  Statistics indicate FlexPay programs help lower consumption due to the customer’s awareness of usage patterns.

Contact us, we'll help you determine if FlexPay is a better option for you!

Budget Billing:

Are you on a budget? Does your electric bill vary each month? Budget billing can help. Budget billing guarantees you no surprises when you receive your electric bill. With budget billing you pay the same predetermined amount each month.

We will average your last 12 months' bill to determine your monthly bill. However, your actual usage and dollar amount for the month, including taxes and other charges, will appear on each bill along with your account balance so that you will know the status of your account at all times. (certain conditions apply, click here for details)

Contact us, we'll review your account and help you determine if Budget Billing is right for you!

Senior Citizen Pay Plan:

Lumbee River EMC offers a plan to assist our senior citizen and disabled members by providing exemption from the late fee and delinquent penalty.

To qualify for the program, a member must be 62 years old or certified disabled and the account must be in the name of the person applying for the program.

Proof of age and disability is required. Members must continue to pay their account in a timely manner to avoid termination of electric service.
